In partnership with Kadowinja Foundation, Kind Heart is running an ongoing sustainable chicken rearing initiative in Obambo Village, empowering the Konyango Stars Women Group.
Women receive starter chickens, training in husbandry, disease control, and record keeping — enabling them to earn income from eggs and mature birds while improving household nutrition. Designed as a scalable model to be replicated across neighbouring villages.

The Sustainable Chicken Rearing Project in Obambo Village is an ongoing livelihood initiative run by Kind Heart Organization Kenya in partnership with Kadowinja Foundation. The project empowers the Konyango Stars Women Group through practical poultry farming — providing starter chickens, training on husbandry, disease control, feeding regimes, and basic record keeping.
By promoting sustainable poultry production, women earn income from the sale of eggs and mature birds while improving access to nutritious food at the household level. The project is designed as a scalable community livelihood model to be replicated in neighbouring villages.
✓ CompletedDuring severe flooding in Western Kenya, Kind Heart mobilized rapid support for affected families — distributing food, blankets, and essential supplies to thousands of households, restoring dignity and safety.
✓ CompletedA multi-year initiative focused on education, quality health services, and empowerment in underserved areas. Built partnerships and strengthened community systems in Kisumu, Siaya, and Homabay Counties.
✓ CompletedBrought communities together to learn essential life skills, promote social cohesion, and strengthen local leadership. Activities included mentorship sessions, community dialogues, and practical workshops for youth and women.
✓ CompletedA major outreach initiative raising awareness on HIV/AIDS prevention, hygiene practices, and jigger eradication. Partnered with health professionals to deliver grassroots education, screenings, and treatment support.
The climax of marking the International Day of Education was held in Manyatta Slum, following a series of build-up activities conducted in Nyalenda and Obunga slums. The event brought together pupils, parents, teachers, county government officials, members of the county assembly, ward administrators, and officials from Kind Heart Organization. This important day was commemorated on 24 January 2023, courtesy of Terra Tech Förderprojekte e.V.
